"With the recent release of Jason Bradberry's Horizons EP on Silk Digital, Sofa has followed suit with a trio of remixes. On the first, Dutch producer Exoplanet, who was last seen on Sofa's Sampler #1 with "Stasis", has crafted an outer-wordly soundscape. The darker tones of "Autumn" are explored here, as distant echoes and gurgling effects evoke the image of a cavernous, lonesome planet.
Gorm Sorensen, in the midst of a breakthrough year (including a remix on Vandit Digital) has painted a much brighter picture, with his deeply moving remix of "Lost". With gentle strokes of the piano, as well as the romantic strings, Gorm has once again seamlessly blended his classical influences with modern production techniques.
Finally, Gridlocked, the man behind one of Sofa's most acclaimed releases ("Balancing Act"), has returned with a remix that blends influence ranging from down-tempo to hip-hop. In the first half of his "Seven Days" mix, a shifty, stutter rhythm is punctuated by newly added piano chords and cuts of the original vocals. As the track continues to build momentum, "breathy" textural effects also come into play, as well as some of the original arp lines, capping off this masterful interpretation."
